  • My favorite Seattle day/weekend trips ⬇️ I always laugh whenever someone asks me for Seattle recommendations because I’ve spend mayyyybe 2-3 days there since moving to Washington over two years ago. I just don’t vibe with Seattle much. BUT I have been quite a bit of time in gorgeous areas nearby. So, my biggest recommendation is always to spend some time outside of the city when you visit. Here are my favorite day/weekend trips from Seattle: 🏔️ MT RAINIER NATIONAL PARK I didn’t expect this national park to be as beautiful as it is! Literally stunning! We stayed at Paradise Inn which I can’t recommend enough. It’s a lodge inside the park with beautiful views and mere steps from the start of Skyline Trail, one of the most beautiful hikes I’ve done. ⛴️ SAN JUAN ISLANDS Island vibes, but make it PNW, and you have the San Juan Islands. You can take the ferry from Seattle to Friday Harbor, or drive up to Anacortes Ferry Terminal to go to Orcas Island (my personal favorite). This can be a day or weekend trip. 🏕️ OLYMPIC NATIONAL PARK Olympic National Park makes me think of old growth forests, beach camping, and twilight 🧛. I’m hoping to make it here this summer to have some first hand recommendations for you! If you’ve been and have some pointers, I’d love to hear them in the comments! 🛶 NORTH CASCADES NATIONAL PARK The furthest from Seattle, this national park should be a full weekend or long weekend trip. It’s very underrated in my opinion and not very popular for visitors!   • My 4 favorite activities in Madrid ⬇️ I’m guilty of being a checkbox traveler sometimes where I have a list of things I want to do and see, and I get to check them off with each tour, museum, and park I visit. This is really satisfying to my Type A brain, but I also try to incorporate some activities into my days that are just there for me to ENJOY my time in a new place. Here are some of the things I did to enjoy Madrid: 🍷 Took a wine and tapas tour 🛍️ Shopped at El Rastro (weekly flea market) 📖 Read at El Retiro park (and in plenty of cafes) ☕️ Sipped cafe con leche and people watched in Plaza Mayor Consider adding some of these to your next Madrid itinerary! #visitmadrid #exploremadrid #visitspain #explorespain #madridspain #madridespaña #madridtravel

  • Requirements for Spain’s Digital Nomad Visa ⬇️ Here are the basic requirements to apply for the Spain DNV as a US American: ✅ The company you work for needs to operate outside of Spain ✅ Undergrad or postgrad degree OR 3 years of experience ✅ No criminal record for 5 years ✅ Health insurance that will cover you in Spain ✅ Make at least $2,300 monthly This is just the start. There are 15 different documents you need to gather to apply and different processes to apply based on where you live. Unfortunately, this information is NOT easy to find online. It took me hours of combing through the Spanish government website, IRS documents, and more to find it all. It’s one of my biggest frustrations with these visas. There are a ton of blogs and legal service websites that talk about this, but almost none of them point you in the right direction to read the official webpages yourself… UNTIL NOW! I wrote a blog post summarizing all of this with more details on the requirements, all the documents you’ll need, and the step-by-step process for how to apply.   • 5 FREE things to do in Edinburgh (part 3) ⬇️ 1️⃣ Walk the Royal Mile (High Street) This street is lined with all kinds of shops selling books, clothing, wool, cashmere, and pretty much anything you can think of. There is also a local market on the corner of High Street and South Bridge with art and photography stands. This street is gorgeous and you can also often hear bagpipers as you walk down it! 2️⃣ St. Giles Cathedral While you’re on High Street, pop into St. Giles Cathedral to have a look around at the stained glass. It’s free to enter (with an optional donation), and will only take about 10-20 mins. 3️⃣ Greyfriar’s Bobby’s Walking Tour A free Edinburgh walking tour hosted by a man and his dog who is said to be a descendant of the infamous Greyfriar’s Bobby! 4️⃣ Royal Botanical Garden Visit the magnificent gardens full of flowers and greenery if you need a break from the city. 5️⃣ Hike up Calton Hill This is much shorter and easier than hiking Arthur’s Seat! This hike will give you sprawling views of Edinburgh from the top.
